Transport competitors Fafe and Hauer unite into one large company

Buy shares and invest in each other - and become one of the largest in the county - currently the only two with fair transport certification in the county

The two locally owned transport companies Fafe and Hauer form from August 1th the county's largest grouping in response to the ever-increasing competition from foreign transport companies. In total, the group will have 120 cars and around 150 employees.

Fafe is owned by the Fredvig-Erichsen family in Molde, while Hauer AS and Hauer Rauma AS are 100 percent controlled by Eric Johansson in Ålesund. Fafe AS / Fredvig-Erichsen now acquires 49.9 percent in the Hauer companies, while Hauer / Eric Johansson acquires 49.9 percent of the shares in Fafe Trans AS.

Through this we hope to serve the market even better and more professionally in relation to, among other things, digitalisation. The industry also faces major challenges in terms of both price and driver shortages - and by forming a larger association we will more easily be able to strengthen the competitiveness of our companies. The companies will continue to emphasize being an attractive workplace with a positive and healthy corporate culture.

Our largest customers demand capacity and flexibility from us as a total supplier of transport services. We will also be able to more easily satisfy these needs with this organization of our businesses. The companies will be operated externally under the same name as in current and with the same administrative management.
